Politics
International politics is a focal point of interest of mine. This may well be because of my upbringing in Israel where being aware of what is going on in the world evry hour on the hour and sometime in between is an essential survival tool. Alis criticizes me for being more interested in American politics than in Canadian which may seem counter intuitive. I find Canadaian politics to be boring compared to that of the Americans. American politics is a contact sport like the X - Games. It is intiguing, bizzare, vulgar, vicious, misleading and deceptive most of the time and has become a form of entertainment with 24/7 cable TV and social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram running relevant and irelevant stories ALL the time. As I am writing this introduction I am under the disgusting spell of Donald Trup who may well become the next President of the United States. This is a phenomenon that boggles the mind and that people outside of the United States refuse to believe that it is possible. American and Canadians as a general rule are not only unaware and or uninvolved in their own country's politics but are totally clued out about International politics and world affairs. To express my frustration I from time to time write some Op-Ed or Letters to the Editor of which very few have actually been published but I enjoy writing them anyways and you may or may not enjoy reading them:

We all know that the war in Iraq is possibly the worst foreign policy blunder of the United States under the Bush/Cheney administration. As a consequence the entire Middle East is in total caos and the rest of the world is dreading the continuous Islamic Jihadist Terror campaign and the refugees migrants crisis.
I backed the invasion of Iraq but I wrote this article in March of 2003 under the caption "Doing the Right thing thebWrong way!"
Shame on Time Magazine - Find out why?
